Every year letmyhome donates to a new charity of choice, and looks to raise funds for a new worthwhile cause
Sahara Desert Egypt 2007
letmyhome was represented by Giles Crosthwaite of whom competed in the Sahara Desert Egypt 2007. The Sahara Race is a six-day, 250km footrace where each individual must also carry his or her own gear, food and clothing in a backpack. The only assistance provided is water, tents and medical assistance. The average backpack weighs about 20 pounds (9 kilos). letmyhome raised approximately £5,000 for the charity Cystic Fibrosis.
British Ultra 2008
letmyhome was represented by Giles Crosthwaite of whom competed in the British Ultra 2008. The British Ultra is on the islands of Islay & Jura, Scotland. The British Ultra is widely recognised as the toughest and most demanding multi-day event on offer in the UK. The event sees athletes cover 140 miles over 5 days taking in high mountains, raised beaches, isolated tracks/trails and strength sapping coastal terrain in one of the more remote and certainly most extreme environments that Britain has to offer. letmyhome raised approximately £1,500 for the charity Cystic Fibrosis.
